Hoya Lens (S) Pte Ltd has undertaken many charitable activities. They include free vision screening for underprivileged groups in Singapore, sponsoring spectacles for needy students annually and to elderly residents of nursing homes, donating lenses for the Diploma in Optometry programme in Singapore Polytechnic, vision screening programmes in Laos and setting up workshops for adults with disabilities. They also actively encourage continuing education for primary eye care professionals in their sponsorships of various educational activities both nationally and regionally. For their many charitable contributions to primary eye care, Hoya Lens (S) Pte Ltd is awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

Hoya Launches First Lens Simulation Center in Malaysia
Malaysian Hoya Lens Sdn Bhd launched its first lens simulation center in Malaysia in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. An extension of a CSR effort from its global operations, the simulation center has already been rolled out in Japan and China.
